I know you are asking for a remote to able to trigger the shutter without having to touch the camera but I would personally suggest you to get an intervalometer instead. Not only will you be able to do whatever a decent remote trigger does. You will have so MUCH more options.
It seems that a7C is not designed to accept a wired remote shutter at all. There is no S2 port, only micro HDMI and USB-c terminals. I contacted Sony support, and they said that the only compatible remote shutter is the expensive Bluetooth remote commander RMT-P1BT.

If you're using the Cleon remote from Phottix, I bet they sell a compatible cable for the Fuji system. I think it's the C6 here: Cables The Yongnuo 603 c II's, as mentioned, work great and will trigger lights while simultaneously triggerring the shutter should you want to. You'll need a 2.5mm stereo cable and Yongnuo sells them with the trigger.
